Over Christmas I spent the night in the Marriot hotel in Leeds and it was absolutely amazing. Here are some pictures of my Christmassy night

It's wedding season and although you brides are probably planning your big day focusing on your own outfits, hair, makeup flowers and oh yes the venue …. there is one thing that I can help with and that's the bridesmaids gifts!

These are the girls that have helped you plan the whole thing, helped keep you sane when the mother-in-law has been muscling in on your plans, and who have treated you to the greatest hen-do of all time. So, they deserve something pretty special, right?

If you’re out of ideas then you’ve come to the right place, because in today’s post you’ll find gift ideas that go from traditional to quirky, so you’re sure to find the perfect gift for your girl squad.

Jewellery is a girl’s best friend

If you’re a traditional group of girl, then you can’t go wrong with some classic, elegant jewellery. A gorgeous necklace, bracelet or anklet will never go out of style, and it’s something they will be able to keep with them, wear to all of your future nights out, and still remember your special day.

In particular, charm bracelets* are often a great option. You can choose a specific style that ties in with your wedding theme for them to wear on the day, but pick different charms for each of them, so that they mean something to your friendship. You can even mix and match additional bracelets to go with it to reflect their individual style.

Champagne with a twist
After the wedding, you’ll probably find yourself swimming in fancy wine glasses, cutlery sets and glass vases – yes, the wedding gifts will come flooding in, but did you ever think of giving something like this to your bridesmaids?

There are tonnes of companies out there who make personalised glassware, and there is surely no classier way to celebrate your wedding day that by buying your bridesmaids all individual champagne flutes with original designs. Or, you could paint them yourself!

Think practical

There’s nothing wrong with getting your bridesmaid something they will use every day. In fact, it may help to make those mundane activities raise a smile, as they’ll always be reminded of your awesome wedding when they look at it.

Things like clutch bags that match your colour scheme, makeup bags with personalised embroidery, or personalised flip-flops if you’re having your wedding on a beach, are all great alternatives to pricier gifts, but they’re still just as thoughtful.

Something for their desk

Let’s not forget that you girls are all hard-working, professional women, so what better way to remind them of their time served as bridesmaids, than by having paperweights made to sit on their desks at work? You can have a photograph from your hen-do put into the centre, or a funny quote from when you first met to remind you of your friendship.

Are you panicking about bridesmaid gifts? Comment below what you think would make the perfect present to say thanks to your girls!
Last week I was invited along with blogger Stephanie Jayne to the launch of the Tales of Bath spa treatment at Lush in Leeds. This is my 3rd blogger event in the past week as I attended the launch at Bodyshop too which you can read about here

For those that don't know (I totally didn't have a clue until I attended this event) Lush stores in big cities now have spas within the shop and sell relaxation treatments and experiences. However, these treatments aren't like no other. Lush Spa's aim to give every single customer a unique experience helping them break free from daily stress, bathe, rest and feel restored. This Spring on the 3rd March, was the day they launched a brand new treatment called Tales of Bath and it was so exciting to be one of the first people to hear all about it and experience demos within the spa in Leeds.

However, before we got down to the heaven that is Lush spa in Leeds, myself and Steph along with a number of local bloggers caught up over Prosecco, nibbles and cosmetic chat upstairs within the store! An amazing guitarist played music as we nattered and entertained all the guests.

As you can see below, everything within Lush is majorly Instagram worthy so I took some pictures of some of my favourite products and bath bombs available to buy.

This one was one of my favourites! Smelt like summer and looked like a rainbow slice of watermelon!

The Experimenter bath bomb
The above bath bomb (the experimenter) was visually one of my favourites too! The guys at the store shown me how they make it and shown us the colours that come out of the bomb once placed within water.

And then all of girls got the chance to make our very own bath bomb - the comforter which is Lush's most favourite product in the UK!

We was given the materials (not exactly sure what they were but they smelt amazing) which we then rubbed together to make our own shape and patterns.

This is me making my bath bomb, and the end product The Comforter!

Which I then got to take home

And then this is where the real magic happened! We entered the Lush Spa which was downstairs in the basement! Everything we touched or saw was either reclaimed, vintage or handmade and looked so cute! As we went downstairs I could immediately sense a change in atmosphere! All of the spa staff wore Pajamas as their daily work uniform and spoke softly to you. We was shown the spa surroundings, the spa rooms and treatments available and got to experience a small demo. After mine, I felt super relaxed and calm and felt inspired to take more time out for relaxation in the future.

The thing that made the treatments uniue was simply the enchnted experfience. All the staff really were passionate about what thbey were doing, one girl told us a story about fairies and presented music to us wth a poem experessing the importance of making us aware that we do not NEED to do anything!

After that, each guest within the spa would enjoy a bubble bath with all the right products the relax the muscles and then enjoy a massage within the treatment rooms.

Last week I was invited to The Body Shop Spring collection launch event within the Leeds store! I was super excited to attend especially to see their new British Rose products and catch up with the girls over a Prosecco, cosmetic chat and chocolate!

The Body Shop Leeds Briggate staff were GREAT and gave us an in-depth introduction to their new product range and explained how the brand has now been open for 40 years therefore celebrating with the launch of the British Rose! The products smelled and felt amazing! I'm personally a HUGE fan of sweet scents and actually thought it weren't too over powering, it has a sense of freshness too.

At the event we were sent round 3 areas where we could sample the products, try their SPA SELECTIONS including body masks and mud, and have a test of their Body Shop makeup starting with cleansing all the way to eye palletes.

Their full Spa range products including scrubs, masks, oil (The oil, similar to an Argan oil, was also recommended for hair repair and gloss and mud!

Stage 2 and 3 BB cream and brushes

We then got an exclusive preview and test of the summer products soon to be launched! This included The Drops of Light which enhances the face with a glow at summer and sleeping cream which helps revitalise. The fountains of Youth was also a popular choice which was tested on one of the bloggers and saw an immediate change. This is perfect for wrinkles around the eyes.

At the end of the event I was kindly gifted some samples to try at home including the British Rose hand cream and body butter too. However, I also treat myself to the amazing kale and seaweed face mask product too which will help with mr random breakouts! I have tried a Kale exfoliator previously which was great and the seaweed range was highly recommended for spots and blemishes. I had a great time and want to say a HUGE thank-you for the organisation and invite too! Until next time ....
